Volunteer and support International Day of Action for Women’s Health

Come and join the Hounslow Public Health Team for a morning of community outreach as we celebrate the International Day of Action for Women’s Health!

  • Date: Wednesday 22nd May 2024
  • Time: 10:00 AM - 13:00 PM

This event is a great opportunity to deliver in-person street-based community outreach, where you will work in teams to engage with women and ask them just three key questions regarding their views on health. Whilst capturing their answers using a quick and easy survey form.

This key community outreach will help our Public Health Teams and NHS colleagues learn how best to improve local health services to meet women’s needs.

In 2022, the government published its Women’s Health Strategy for England stating the 10-year ambitions and actions to improve the health and wellbeing of women and girls in England.

On the day colleagues will meet at various locations across the borough for a pre-engagement briefing, where the Health Outreach Team and Public Health colleagues will provide training on engagement practice and answer any questions. They will also lead your group and help you to engage with women to ask them about their health

The aim is for all engagement answers to be recorded, as this will help the Public Health team to gather a board range of views on women’s health as well as raise awareness of the importance of Women’s Health.

Women's Public Health Afternoon Event
