Final round of Small Grants
Opportunity to apply for small grants that can provide funding of up to £1,000 to community and voluntary sector organisations, including residents' and neighbours' groups for projects that bring communities together and improve health and wellbeing.
For 25/26 a £30,000 funding pot is being allocated at three grant review meetings across the year. The closing date for the final round is 30 January, with decisions in late February.

Capital Grant is now open
The council is also inviting expressions of interest for the 2026/27 Thriving Community Funding (TCF) Capital Grant.
This grant invests in capital projects that create a lasting benefit for local communities. supporting initiatives to benefit from new developments and strengthen community infrastructure.
The four priorities areas for 2026/27 funding:
- Upgrade and Enhance Community Facilities Capital investment in the physical infrastructure of community spaces.
- Improve Green Spaces Funding for the enhancement and restoration of shared outdoor areas that promote health, wellbeing, and environmental sustainability.
- Support Place-Shaping and Community Ownership Improvements to public spaces that foster a sense of identity and belonging, enabling residents to co-design and take pride in their local communities.
- Enhance Community Safety Installation or upgrade of physical safety infrastructure that supports safer movement and pedestrian-friendly design.
The Capital Grant has a two-stage application process. Successful applicants at expression of interest stage will be invited to submit a full application.
